Methocarbamol (Generic Robaxin-V) 100ml (100mg/ml) is used for various conditions in horses including ty-up prevention, muscle soreness, trauma, bursitis, muscle and ligament damage, tetanus and other conditions, including surgery, that cause painful muscle spasms.
Dosage and Administration: Adult horses administer 2 to 10mg per lb for moderate conditions and 10 to 25mg per lb for severe conditions. Methocarbamol is for I.V. use and may be given undiluted directly into the vein. The dosage and the frequency of injection should be based on the severity of symptoms and on the therapeutic response seen.
Tips for Trainers: Give 25-50ml as needed.
